Amber and Chad

Amber & Chad
June 2009

My cousin, Chad, found a wonderful girl, Amber, to spend the rest of his life with. He asked if I would be their wedding photographer. I was so happy to capture their special day. This wedding had special meaning to me, so I was honored to take on the responsibility of catching those priceless moments.

They married in central PA, not far from Bloomsburg. It's a home away from home for me, so this was one wedding I knew I didn't want to miss!

Amber's Bridesmaids were a riot! This was the 'Pre-Ceremony'!

My 3 'Toughest' Cousins!

Both Amber and Chad were very emotional during the ceremony.
It was hard for me to wipe my tears and take good pictures at the same time!

This was the first reception I've been to where they had a 'Shot Dance' ... you pay $1 for a shot and then dance with the Bride and Groom ... it was INTERESTING!

Even my Pop joined in the 'Shot Dance' fun!

The dance floor was packed all night ... it was a great celebration of love!

My Boys

My little guy, Weston, is 2. Lately he really has been showing it. He's potty-trained and I like to give him some privacy as needed. However, there are some dangers to that ....

 Uh - Oh!!

I can't really get upset. It's only natural for a 2 year old to want to unroll the ENTIRE roll of t.p. So instead of getting upset, I get my camera! Say, "More t.p., PLEEEAAASSEEE!"

And with the arrival of spring, we've taken FULL advantage of the sunshine and warm breezes ...

Weston enjoyed some 'truck' time in the driveway ...

Addison decided to make sandwiches for lunch ... he brought them out with juice boxes and pickles. The boys had a little picnic in between riding bikes and playing in their 'fort' by the springhouse.

Baby Clara

I've never admitted to specializing in anything but wedding photography, if I can even say that! But I've definitely taken a lot of pictures of my kids as they've grown from babies to toddlers and into the 'big boy' stage of 8 years old. At this point, my kids don't really 'want' to be photographed, so I'll succumb to finding ways to sneak great shots - like candid playing and hopefully some awesome baseball shots once the season starts.

With that said, I wouldn't mind experimenting with some newborn photography. I was tickled 'pink' when my friend, Melissia, asked if I could take some shots of her little sweetheart, Clara. I learned quickly that newborn photography is a whole different ballgame. You work with what you get ... no real staging unless you have a baby who LOVES to sleep and is GOOD at it! Clara did a fantastic job and gave me a taste of what it would be like to be a 'baby' photographer. I have a whole new appreciation for Anne Geddes. Here are some of my faves...

I even got a little smile out of her!

Wendy & Chris - The Wedding

Valentine's Day, 2010
Sayre Mansion, Bethlehem

It's such a small world ... an elementary school friend, Wendy, found me on Facebook this past year. She happened across some of the photos I've taken and asked if I would mind photographing her and her fiance, Chris, to celebrate their recent engagement. Of course I agreed! It was so much fun (as seen in an earlier blog post). They loved the engagement pictures so much that they asked me to be their wedding photographer too! I love when things just come together.
